Illinois Bone & Joint Institute Opens Chicago Offices

CHICAGO — The Missner Group recently completed construction on a new three-story, 41,000-square-foot medical office building in Chicago for the Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (IBJI).

Chicago-based Stephen Rankin and Associates designed the facility and The Missner Group, based in Skokie, Ill., led construction on the project. The IBJI will occupy approximately 20,000 square feet on the building’s third level. In their new location, the IBJI will be able to offer joint reconstruction and replacement; hand, elbow shoulder and spine care; hip, knee, foot and ankle care and surgery; pain management; sports medicine; and MRI services.

“We have worked with The Missner Group for the past 25 years,” said Larry Debb, principal of Debb Kosich LLC, which served as developer on the project. “They consistently deliver the product on-time and within budget; and not only do they understand real estate and construction, but they take the time to understand the needs of our clients, which is crucial to the success of any project.”

The space provides IBJI with private offices, meeting and conference rooms, medical exam rooms, MRI and X-ray suites, and medical storage space. The unique interior design of the new medical office building includes a custom 100-gallon salt-water fish tank near the elevator corridor along with custom metal-trimmed millwork throughout. Additionally, a dramatic custom wall panel is featured in the office waiting area.

“The Missner Group prides itself on dedication to client satisfaction and the highest standards of quality,” said Glen Missner, executive vice president of The Missner Group, in a statement.
