Ceiling System
The new MetalWorks TorsionSpan custom ceiling system from Armstrong offers an accessible ceiling panel that can span the entire width of corridors. Available in custom lengths up to 10 feet, the 2-foot-wide panels provide 100 percent swing-down accessibility, making them ideal for corridors where frequent plenum access is required. The large-size panels provide noise reduction with an NRC of up to 0.90 with fiberglass infill in select perforation patterns. Seven different perforation options are available. The ceiling system is available in nine laminate finishes as well as design options for turning 90-degree corners. It installs easily on a 15/16-inch Singlespan Prelude Peak Form Plus suspension system that is pre-slotted to accept the panel torsion springs. This installation reduces the wires needed to support the suspension system. With up to 98 percent recycled content, durable TorsionSpan panels are washable, scrubbable, impact resistant and soil resistant. They have a Class A fire rating and are seismic tested and approved.
