Advet Bhambhani Plans Luxury Hospital Experience in Dubai

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – Advet Bhambhani Ventures (AB Ventures), a company that runs Nucleus Medical and Diagnostics Centre, Lifeline Healthcare and 800 Doctor, have announced their plan to open a luxury 150-bed hospital for wealthy patients, according to VCCircle. AB Ventures plans to set up luxury hospitals in metropolitan areas and has already set up a Nucleus Medical unit in India to evaluate the market.

By 2018, AB Ventures has planned to have at least one luxury hospital open in Mumbai, according to Arabian Business. The Mumbai location will be the flagship facility of the first “boutique” luxury hospital chain in the Middle East and India. However, according to Arabian Business and AB Ventures Founder Advet Bhambani, there have been delays to the Mumbai plans, which have prompted the company to move forward with the hospital in Dubai before originally planned. The hospital will be developed under Nucleus Hospitals.

The 150-bed hospital will include luxury suites, fine dining and a concierge service – everything you would expect from a five-star hotel, according to Bhambhani. The guests of the hospital will also be offered a limousine service to and from the hospital, tailored spa treatments and wellness package options to help with their recovery. The hospital will also partner with a global hotel operator, and according to Bhambhani and Arabian Business, there are already parties interested in the opportunity.

AB Ventures plans to build an additional five hospitals in the Middle East and India and possibly more if the luxury hospital chain succeeds. The Nucleus brand hospitals would be able to perform major operations such as open-heart surgery, but would also be equipped to perform cosmetic surgery (like those the Victorian Cosmetic Institute discuss) and other non-disease-related procedures, according to Arabian Business. According to Bhambhani, he wants the AB Ventures luxury hospitals to not resemble a hospital at all but have the design of a luxury hotel with concealed operating rooms and hospital necessities.

In addition to the current location, a second plot of land, located in Dubai, has been acquired by AB Ventures. The hospital will be the United Arab Emirates’ first privately funded critical care center and will use the brand name Criticare. A third plot of land has also been acquired, according to Bhambhani, to be used for a custom-built pediatric hospital, also located in Dubai. The hospital will be designed to look like a bouncy castle or a large playground, according to Arabian Business. The three Dubai locations are projected to open by 2020 and will cost approximately $600 million, including the acquisition of the land.
