William Kline

William Kline, AIA, LEED AP, EDAC, has joined the board of directors at SmithGroupJJR. Kline leads the firm’s Health Studio in Washington, D.C., working with clients that include the Department of Veterans Affairs, Genesis Health, Kaiser Permanente and University of Virginia. Kline has a special interest in project delivery methods and has lectured widely. He is currently serving as managing principal on two major Maryland hospital projects for Holy Cross Health, a CHE Trinity Health system. The projects include the $200 million, bed tower expansion in Silver Spring and the $200 million, 245,000-square-foot new hospital in Germantown. Kline received evidence-based design accreditation and certification from The Center for Health Design, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia, followed by a Master of Architecture from Princeton University.
