Soliant Health Reveals Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals for 2014

ATLANTA — Soliant Health recently revealed on June 23 its Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals in the U.S. for 2014. The specialty health care staffing provider, part of Adecco Group, named McKay-Dee Hospital Center in Ogden, Utah, the winner.

Soliant opened the polls this year from May 6 to June 15 and received almost 250,000 votes, more than twice the number of votes from last year. McKay-Dee garnered close to 40,000 of those votes. Designed by Salt Lake City-based Design West Architects in association with HKS, also located in Salt Lake City, the hospital is the first from Utah to take the top spot, and it is the first year Utah has the most hospitals overall in the rankings.

McKay-Dee features a park-like campus and soothing interiors. The medical office building and hospital are joined by a healing garden with a water feature.

According to Soliant’s blog, last year’s No. 1 (LeConte Medical Center of Sevierville, Tenn.) doesn’t appear anywhere on the list, and this year’s leader received 2.4 times the votes of last year’s top entry. Meanwhile, Texas appears three times this year (No. 7, No. 8 and No. 14), while Washington, California and Pennsylvania each appear twice.

All other states appear just once, making for a greater variety of entries than in any other year.
